COVID-19 Can't Keep Me Away From My Students!

My Students

Students in my classroom are military dependents and local residents of a large town in Hawaii. Our school is a Title I school which means we have a high percentage of students from low-income families. Furthermore, our school has a transient population due to the students with parents in the military.

My students are fun-loving, preschool-aged, special education students.

Students have different disabilities such as autism, speech delays, and developmental delays, but they are eager, bright and love to learn about everything! I hope to make their first experiences in school fun and engaging!

My Project

My students need to see and hear me regularly in an effort to keep some normalcy and structure in their lives. This situation is very difficult for all children, especially my preschoolers with special needs.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change our lives and ways to teach, I want to be sure I am able to continue to have a reliable way to communicate with my students due to the pandemic.

In an effort to reduce the spread of the virus, we are not able to teach at school

Having an up to date computer would allow me to continue to create, encourage, and love these students regularly by providing videos of me online.
