Help me give my students basic classroom supplies such as pencils, colored pencils, pencil grips, paper, scissors, and ink so they can continue to create authentic work that captures their learning for the rest of the school year.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I performance improvement school with the majority of our students participating in the free lunch program. For many of my students, school is where they have access to books, supplies, and other resources that support their academic achievements. Many of my students come from homes where their parents are working hard to make ends meet and want their students to be successful in school.
My second graders are inquisitive and love to learn, and they inspire my teaching every day!
But often my teaching requires supplies that aren't glamorous or glitzy, just basic.
My Project
Colored pencils that were new at the beginning of the year are half the size they used to be because they are being used for different assignments and projects; they've been used to create and color flap books and other works that my students make to show sequencing and comprehension of stories we read in class, to analyze math word problems, to imagine and design solutions in engineering, and to make artwork. The handles of scissors that have served my students well over the years are beginning to break, and the class set has dwindled down to 10 pairs. Ink for our class printer needs to be replenished, and we are beginning to run low on the printer paper our school gave us at the beginning of the school year. And often, we joke that something must be eating pencils in our classroom because those also are getting smaller, and many too have disappeared. The materials requested in this project are classroom basics that can put a damper on things and lead to frustration for my little ones if there are not enough of them for my students to work on their assignments.
Having my students show their learning and understanding of concepts taught in an authentic manner means we go through a lot of our supplies quickly.
Please help my students have enough of the requested supplies to cover our bases and ensure we have a productive and successful this year!
