Help me give my students cases to protect their new iPads. We are so excited to be gaining these amazing resources and want them to be around for many years and for many students to utilize!
I teach in a first grade Chinese bilingual ICT class. All 26 of my students are AMAZING, creative and fearless. They have a great love of literacy and math, but are especially passionate about technology.
They are English Language Learners with and without special needs who rise to any kind of challenge presented to them.
We learn together in a large PreK-5 school that does the best it can for our highly impoverished population. Our school is a family of teachers, administrators, and support staff that truly care about one another and work together to deliver the best for each and every one of our students. We are committed to providing an innovative curriculum to promote creative and independent thinking.
My Project
My class was afforded 8 iPads through a bilingual education grant my school applied for. Unfortunately, it didn't come with protective covers. With the 8 requested iPad mini 6th Generation cases to protect our iPads, my students will be able to use iPad technology to both support and enrich their literacy and math skills. These iPads would allow my students to access learning in a variety of different ways. There are a variety of reading apps that are geared toward beginning readers and the students love using these programs. During math we will use the iPads to help us learn math concepts such as adding, subtracting, telling time, and working through word problems. It is a powerful tool that will help my students be successful in the future. My students are eager to use the iPads; however, I want to ensure that they are protected. Covers will allow for students to work hands-on with the iPads, my ultimate goal!
Technology is motivating for students and is something they look forward to using as a tool for learning.
