Thank you for supporting Mrs. Schreck's 2nd grade classroom. I have an amazing bunch of EL Learners this year. My students have been working so hard to improve their English. They love learning and going on the five iPad minis that we have in our classroom.

They come to school eager to learn and practice new skills. I love, love, love being their teacher. All of them come from hard-working families that are new to our country.
Each day, we work toward our goal of becoming proficient English Language Learners. It is a pleasure to watch them grow and improve each day.
My Title I school services families from lower socioeconomic neighborhoods. The teachers and staff are very supportive and understanding of the needs of our population.
My Project
We have 5 iPad minis which we use daily to help with reading comprehension, fluency and math skills on programs that were purchased by my school. My students are extremely careful with the iPads, but it makes me very nervous that they do not have protective covers.
To make certain the iPads do not get damaged, I have them placed at specific locations. It would be a relief to have covers so that the students could be given more freedom to utilize the technology in different locations in the room or school.
The donation of five iPad protective cases will help my students feel more comfortable when using technology in the classroom.
They won't feel so inhibited about the possibility of damaging the classroom iPads. Instead they will be able to focus their energy on the content that they are learning.
