All of my students have their own special story to tell coming from diverse backgrounds with unique strengths and weaknesses. They are all active members of our close-knit, rural Title I school. We are a small school with big dreams and even bigger hearts. With a strong focus on literacy in grades K-2, my third graders come to my class ready to dive into my math and science lessons. I strive to incorporate fun, interactive lessons and activities that appeal to all learning types and keep my students engaged.
While my students may face hardships, they come to school eager to learn and are excited about their futures.
They are an amazing group of kids who love each other, their families, their school, and the world around them. I want to give them the best 3rd-grade experience possible. I want to fill their days with happiness and their brains with smarts that they will carry with them years after they leave my classroom.
My Project
Each year our school puts on a Christmas program for the community, and each child at our school has an opportunity to perform. This year my third graders are singing “Christmas Time's a Comin’.” They each need cowboy hats and bandanas to wear and a small guitar to use as a stage prop. These items are sure to make our performance stand out from the crowd. They will make my students feel special and help overcome opening night jitters. Our Christmas program is an amazing event that brings our little community together and celebrates the season and our wonderful students.
