My Students

My students are an energetic group of Kindergarten learners. They come to school excited to learn, discover, and explore. We are a neighborhood school with a diverse population of students from TK-5th grade. The parents, teachers, and school community are dedicated to making sure my students have everything they need to meet the common core standards and more. We spend our mornings learning in language arts and math workshops. Our afternoons are spent doing science, social studies as well as free play time.

Number fluency is an integral part of our day.

It starts with the morning calendar and continues on through all of our daily activities and workshops.

My Project

Math in our classroom is so much fun! My students love to count, look for problems and problem solve. We spend a lot of time reasoning and explaining our thinking.

The Daily Math Fluency Kit will help me expand their number sense in our class each day.

We incorporate Cognitive Guided Instruction in our curriculum and the Math Fluency kit will encourage, promote and compliment our math activities. Number talks and number strings are so important in encouraging students to look at math in multiple ways.

My students love a challenge and this tool will encourage that love for solving problems, as well as challenging their thinking in multiple ways.
