My Students

As a school counselor I serve over 500 elementary students. My function is to foster their self discovery through social and emotional wellness presentations, activities and personal support. I help students with different learning styles, socioeconomic status and cultural backgrounds with their problem solving, educational success and life decisions. I encourage each of them to make more conscientious choices that create a positive, unified and respectful school environment. All children deserve to learn in a safe, supportive and dynamic environment. My goal is to unleash each child's full potential.

My Project

As a first year counselor, I'm trying to build my office library of books and games. I want my students to be interested and eager to learn in fun ways. I think the items I have selected for this project will truly benefit my students.

The Growth Mindset Read Aloud books will be used in both small group and classroom settings to help students develop a more positive mindset.

The game, What Should You Do?, will be used in small groups to help students understand the consequences to their actions.

The Grab and Write Social-Emotional Prompts will be an excellent way for students to discuss Social-Emotional topics, as well as, build their writing skills.
