The students at my school are amazing. I am a middle school counselor and we have 1,100 students at our school. We are a mix of demographics and have a large gap between socioeconomic status'.
We've seen more students struggling now with anxiety and depression, self harm, and just overall students in crisis.
We've also seen students struggle with making friends and connections.
The counseling office is the heart of the school. We provide resources of all kinds to our students and their families. All of the requested materials will directly help students.
We want to have activities in the counseling center our students can use to destress and cope when they are struggling.
We have requested a variety of items that can be used by students. We'd love for students to gather in the counseling center to play games during lunch as well as have tools to use independently when in crisis.
The school supplies will be given to students whose families are facing hard times.
