Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a 5th grade teachers at a Title I school in South Carolina where "every student counts and every moment matters." Our students come from low-income families where 100% receive free breakfast and lunch.
Even though they face many hardships outside of the classroom, my students come in eager to learn and take on new challenges.
There are so many learning opportunities to be done in the classroom, but sometimes they do not have all the resources to make that happen. This is where we need your help!
We are so grateful for your interest in our classroom. I sincerely thank you.
My Project
It is flu season and my students need tissues and Clorox wipes to keep our classroom clean and reduce the spread of germs. With all of these pesky sneezes and coughs going around we are using a lot of tissues and wipes.
While students are sometime sneezing and coughing, it is my duty to keep them engaged and keep them learning!
My students love color and use resources more frequently when they are vibrant and grab their attention! We are using task cards in multiple subjects to work with a partner to practice our skills. In order to keep task cards holding up again spills, tears, and marks, I am also requesting lamination pouches and page protectors.
Helping us fulfill our needs and touching the lives of 25 students would be greatly appreciated.
