My Project

We are trying to expand the experiences available for students in our sensory room. The room is used for a wide range of students, kindergarten through 5th grade, with varying disabilities, such as Autism and DCD.

The sensory room provides an environment for students to be regulated, calm and have their sensory needs met.

The requested items would provide opportunities for students to use different senses to explore and learn or manage big emotions. The items were also chosen to meet the wide range of needs of the students that use the room and be inclusive of everyone.
