Never in my craziest dreams would one imagine that the students would leave for Spring Break and not return that year. As students left school March 13, 2020, no one anticipated that would be our final day in school with our kids face to face.
With proper good-byes or see you laters unable to occur, we are doing all we can to keep the students engaged, spirits up, and some sense of normalcy.
Zoom calls and demonstrations are the current normal but supplies are at school and many stores closed. Obtaining needs and rewards to drop off to students has created a barrier.
My Project
As the world continuously is changing during these times, I desire to help create more normalcy in the lives of my students. Establishing working from home with no notice (we did not return from Spring Break), our home has transformed into a mini class as well. Finding supplies and a dedicated area to support students has become a challenge.
These supplies will allow more organization in the home dedicated to students and incentives to participate in activities (not all of which are academic but life skills or random activities).
With two teachers and the family in the home, dedicated space can be a challenge.
