My Students

I have 43 lovable, loud, kind and very smart students. They all have the ability to shine and express what makes them special. Even my little shy ones take their moment in the spotlight. Right now we are apart and we see each other on Zoom our online classroom. Well we don’t see all of the students at the same time due to lack of internet or students wait until their parent come home so that they can use their parents phone to login.

My kids need supplies that will help them work from home and possibly bring joy during these difficult times.

It's hard knowing that our students depend on us on a daily basis. Our students are used to having us be their support system and now we are forced to be apart in order to be safe.

My Project

During these past 8 weeks I had to quickly learn how to use all of our online resources. Now I'm not going say I'm the best at it but I know I'll get there soon. My students need me to be ready.

We have no idea what the new school year will look like but this project will help me be ready for my students and future scholars.

I want to model how to do the classwork. That's why I need a document camera. This camera will help me demonstrate to my students how to do their work. I will be able to use this camera as I prepare my lessons . It will also help me as I record lessons for students. I can also record myself doing read alouds and my kiddos love read alouds. My students will see the book as I read it out loud.

The printer will come in handy as I create reports for parents on their students progress. I will also be able to print out or scan work that I will use I as prepare my lessons. Finally we will have color copies and you know students love color copies. With my copies I will use my document camera to show my students the work. The printer will also help me make copies of my small group lessons. The copy paper will be used to make all the copies I need to create my lessons.

I'm also asking for 2 pairs of blue light glasses because I spend a lot of hours on the computer teaching, creating lessons and learning from online workshops. My eyes feel the strain by the end of my teaching day. I know these glasses will surely help me focus and get these lessons ready.
