Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are kindergarten students who are curious, energetic and who love their school, regardless of the condition their school is in. They cry when they are sick and unable to come. My students have lots of energy and a thirst for learning!
Over 90% of students at my school qualify for free or reduced price lunch.
Although we are a low-income school, we try our best everyday to provide our students with a high quality education. Our school may not look pretty from the outside, but the heart and soul of any school is the teachers and students.
My Project
Please help give my students educational materials they can use independently while sheltering at home. My students have not been in school since March 16th and they will not return until the fall. My students can continue learning at home by using notebooks to draw and practice their writing. They can also use the math charts to practice writing their numbers in the notebooks. Students can also use the construction paper, scissors, glue sticks, markers and crayons to draw and express all the emotions they are experiencing right now. The canvas bags will allow my students to keep all of their materials in one place.
