In teaching both history and English, I try to use snapshots, notes, videos, and pictures as often as possible. Our school has 6 LCD projectors that teachers must check out for short periods. In order to use the LCD projector, you must hook up the projector to your computer monitor. The way that my computer must be set up (due to outlets and jacks) makes it impossible for my monitor to reach the LCD projector. Thus, I need a 25 foot VGA extension cable. Using the LCD projector and the cord helps my children to visualize history. It gives them a better, deeper understanding of what they are learning. Also, our school has United Streaming and the video snapshots on there are amazing, but not usable if the cord does not extend long enough. Please allow my children to see history as well as read about it.
