This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

MS 391 is a high needs middle school in the Bronx. I've been teaching here for two years, and I must say that the staff tries so hard to get by on the little materials that we have. However, sometimes the lacking of the "staple foods" of a teacher can ruin his or her lesson for an entire day. When I say staple foods, I mean copies. As a math teacher, I have come to believe that a worksheet can work wonders. When students walk into my classroom and I am able to hand them something immediately, the tone of the class is already set. This is a work environment. But too often have I walked into the Assistant Principal's office to find a long line waiting for the copy machine, a machine that copies extremely slowly. It causes frustration and anxiety, especially for a math teacher who often relies on problem sheets that he hands out to the students. Therefore, I am asking for a donation of a copy-machine/printer. The dual use of this machine would make it easier to print worksheets that are on my computer as well as copy already existing materials. Distribution of math problems and other various worksheets could happen within minutes. I believe this machine will make the classroom run more smoothly and efficiently. Students will not have to worry so much about copying down the problems and spend their time solving them. Thank you for your time.
