Hello! I am a 3rd grade Special Education teacher. My students need additional support in regulating their emotions due to academic delays and social-emotional developmental delays. All teachers and students would benefit from learning coping strategies to help balance test stress, academic challenges and personal challenges, especially with how the quarantine and COVID-19 has changed their daily structure and environment. These challenges impact our resources when we need them the most.
I believe that as a community, we can provide a healthy and safe space for blended/remote learning in which students can have access to additional resources for social-emotional support.
What would be ideal, is if we had additional books on social emotional learning, journals, drawing books, incentives and cleaning supplies to enter the school year strong. My goal is to manifest these needs into reality so that my students can feel fully supported entering this 2020-2021 school year.
My Project

The two items on this list that would be used for blended learning includes the gloves, wipes and masks.
The read aloud book and the social-emotional card set can be used during blended and remote learning. The card set can be used daily to reflect on the "mood meter" when processing and taking action as we work towards understanding different emotions.
