My students walk into our classroom, every day, with smiles on their faces, pep in their steps, and a desire to learn. At the start of every day I have them turn to their neighbors and tell them, "You are a genius!" I teach the push-in class, so we have a lot of visiting friends throughout the day, and I let them know that I only teach geniuses! They remind each other and me of this on a daily basis.
We are a Title I school, and all of my students receive free or reduced-price breakfasts and lunches.
They also receive free snacks, which consist of fruits or vegetables three days a week, and I provide them with snacks the other two days.
The majority of my students are English language learners, as well, with parents who do not speak or understand English. However, these students come to school every day to a safe and welcoming learning environment wanting to succeed and do their best. They deserve the world and the best classroom possible.
My students come to school eager to learn, and in order to do that...they need to stay healthy. By providing a clean environment for my students, they will be able to come to school every day, instead of staying home with an illness. Being able to wipe down tables, chairs, and other hard surfaces with Clorox wipes, stops the spread of germs and the sharing of those germs from student to student, or even me as the teacher. My students also share computers and Chromebooks, and by using the electronics wipes, stop the spread of germs, from electronics as well. The cleaning supplies will help to stop the spread of germs in our classroom, and will allow students to stay healthy, and therefor keep them in school every day to learn.
