I teach at a magnet school in Connecticut. We serve students from many towns surrounding the Hartford Area. Every day our students come from many different places and many different circumstances but they are all ready to learn! They are eager to learn and work together each day.
Many of our students do not have the same educational opportunities as their peers.
As a school, we strive to provide well-rounded experiences for our students to help them become global citizens.
My Project
In our classroom, I try to do a lot of cooperative learning. Students work in groups to learn from and with each other. Students will use these materials to share their learning and learn how to work as a group. At the end of each semester, we try to have a project that student make to share their learning. This encompasses their learning over a unit and helps them share with their peers. Students learn by exploring through materials and creating presentations to share with their grade level or school peers. These materials will make these projects possible for my students to complete!
