My Students
Students in my classroom come eager and ready to learn. They are excited to face the new challenges that await them. Together we create a climate that is warm, friendly, and engaging. I want my classroom to be a place where kids feel safe, have fun, and have an insatiable desire to learn. In addition, I value my students’ social growth as much as their academic growth.
My personal and professional goal is to provide an environment that inspires life-long learning.
My Project
Every morning, when my students arrive, they look forward to the time they get to spend at the carpet creating cool structures with their friends. They are always extremely excited to show me their newest creation. I have been amazed at the things they have built over the last four weeks.
The one item my students can't seem to get enough of are the magnetic building tiles (Picasso Tiles).
It seems to be the first thing they gravitate to. And, if I don't already have them out for them, they ask me to get them out. I would love to add another set of tiles to encourage cooperation and creativity amongst more of my students.
