This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The WHS community is beautiful because of the welcoming spirit on our campus. We have a saying, "Everyone is someone" at WHS, and we definitely walk the walk. We love our school, but one improvement we want to make is the addition of water bottle filling stations in our outdoor lunch areas.
We have several water bottle filling stations indoors, but those areas are locked during lunchtime and after school.
Most of our students eat lunch outside and have no access to a water fountain or water filling station. Because we want students to stay hydrated during their school day and we want to increase sustainability, this water station will be a welcome addition to our campus offerings.
More than half of students from low‑income households
