My students need 2 piano keyboards, 2 survival kits and 5 books for our music classroom piano keyboard lab.
This project expired on January 23, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
"When will we get to play the piano?". I hear this often in my music classroom.
We are a K-12 school located in a small mid Missouri town.
Until recently a student would have to go 12-25 miles to take private piano lessons. Many of my students would like to learn how to play the piano, but do not have the finances to take private lessons, nor the circumstances to be transported to lessons. The opportunity to learn how to play the piano in a classroom setting is exciting for these students.
We are building a piano keyboard lab in our K-6 music classroom. Thanks to past generous donations from DonorsChoose and Limeades for Learning we have come a long way on this project. We however still are in need of more piano keyboards, accessories and books for this ongoing project. The students are able to learn piano skills in this classroom setting. Having more keyboards will give multiple students more playing time on the pianos.
Playing the piano engages students in hands-on learning.
Your donation to our piano keyboard lab will help our students have the opportunity to learn piano skills in the music classroom.
