Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Fidget toys will aid my students with emotional dysregulation, autism, ADHD, and students who exhibit stress and anxiety. Fidgets and stress reduction toys will keep the body active, making room for my student to better focus!
My goal as a teacher is to support them in their journey through life as they learn not only academics but also how to cope and deal with emotions.
These items will allow for students to have something small to help manage their stress and become better equip to take on academic tasks.
New studies suggest that mindfulness education, lessons on techniques to calm the mind and body, can reduce the negative effects of stress and increase students' ability to stay engaged, helping them stay on track academically and avoid behavior problems.
