Our classroom is bursting with personalities! We have artists, dancers, singers, writers, comedians, builders and athletes to name a few. All of these talented kids need leveled reading books to reach their goals and unlock their potential. Each day we read and we need more books to share.
Our class has readers of all levels from very basic to beyond 4th grade level.
The students are kind and supportive to each other while we read aloud together. We enjoy books, science magazines, as well as text online throughout each week. This class also reads lyrics daily, as we are learning many songs about America. Other highlights of our school days are; PE, art, computers, science, and brain breaks when we get our wiggles out! This is a hard-working group of learners and caring classroom citizens.
My Project
The set of books I am hoping for will be used in the classroom and sent home daily. We will have a check-out system and rotate this collection for optimal use by all students. I know the privilege of borrowing a beautiful, entertaining book from the classroom will be taken with a sense of pride and responsibility. Students will increase reading levels rapidly because they will have the right tools available.
Students will feel that they are important and so is education.
All kids should have access to great books and this donation will make that happen in our classroom. The books will increase reading strategies which will spill over to everything the students do. Their confidence will help them tackle challenges and know they can do anything!
