Cool and Colorful Classroom Carpet

My students need a classroom carpet for multiple reasons. In Kindergarten we use our carpet as a meeting place, an area for centers and flexible seating.

My Students

My students are very eager to learn about everything!! They come in each day ready to learn and explore new adventures in reading, math, science and social studies. In kindergarten, they are also learning lots of social skills and how to work together. We spend a lot of time on the carpet learning about each other and learning new concepts. We also use the carpet as part of our Daily 5 literacy and math learning areas. This will help students work together and gain a better understanding of personal space.

My Project

This classroom carpet will make a huge difference in my classroom. I am moving to a new school and they have tile flooring in my new classroom with no carpet space anywhere. This carpet will allow my Kindergarten students to have their personal space when I am teaching, when they are exploring new activities, or working together in centers. Students will have flexibility in where they would like to sit and how they want to sit. They will be able to pick where they would like to sit when reading a book, or lay on the floor to work on puzzles, math or reading games. The rug will be used not only daily but multiple times throughout the day
