Do you remember learning to read with worksheet after worksheet (or dittos!)? These interactive reading stations will provide more meaningful and engaging reading practice for my third graders!
Because I team-teach, these interactive reading stations will benefit 50 third graders for years to come!
My kiddos bring great enthusiasm and curiosity to school with them every day. We have a very community-oriented classroom that emphasizes interactive and collaborative learning. With our diverse student population, I have many English Language Learners each year. These stations will give them more opportunities to practice their reading skills collaboratively. Many of my students come from low-income families and these stations will get more books, technology, and reading skill practice into their hands!
My Project
These reading stations cover many of the critical reading skills emphasized in our third grade reading curriculum. The reading listening comprehension center will give them practice working with different skills including main idea, inferencing, sequencing, vocabulary, and more. Not only will students be able to collaborate but my English Language Learners will have the support of listening to the story so they can practice the desired skill with greater success.
The additional interactive reading informational text center will allow my kids to practice real-world reading skills that will prepare them for future reading. My kids will also be able to practice reading comprehension with the reading comprehension folder games. These games make reading practice more engaging and exciting for our kiddos. This leads to better learning!
Reading is the backbone of early education.
These stations will help my kids develop critical skills in reading that will benefit their education across content areas. Thank you for considering donating to their education!
