I teach an amazing group of energetic and fun kiddos!
My favorite part of teaching kindergarten is that the students are so eager to learn and love coming to school.
My students are five and six year old children. They learn differently in various ways and at various rates. I want to make sure each child who walks through my door feels loved, accepted, and develops a real love for learning! I try to teach in a way that allows all students to be successful!
Dramatic play is such an important part of the kindergarten classroom. By adding a kitchen to our stations, students will be able to pretend and use their imaginations as they take on various roles.
Pretend play builds children's social and emotional skills as well as language, thinking, and developmental skills.
What looks like simple play is actually helping children become better learners. Children learn to take turns, share responsibilities, and see things through a different person's point of view.
My students rotate through different stations throughout the day. Our current "dramatic play" station is a small camping center. By providing a kitchen to our dramatic play area we will have more flexibility to change the station according to the themes we are currently learning about.
