Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are wonderful kiddos who are learning and practicing life skills. They are hardworking kids who love to cook and eat with their friends. They have been practicing their skills with the items from our last project and are excited to practice with some new items. A microwave will help assist students who are not yet able to cook for themselves with heated surfaces. A blender would help provide options for our kiddos who need their food blended.

We are learning so many new recipes in class and these new tools will assist us in learning even more recipes for each and every ability level.

These tools will provide us with new ways to cook. Learning to cook is important for my kiddos because it is a necessary life skill for survival. We are enjoying cooking with our renaissance friends. We are also enjoying cooking the food we grow in our own garden!
