Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students have a brand new kitchen center in our classroom but the center came without any materials needed for pretend play. My students need food to use in the center to help guide their play.

With creative cooking sets, my students can explore food from various cultures while playing in the kitchen.

Having popular familiar food items such as build your own subs, pizza, along with pasta, sushi, grilled food and even a smoothie maker will help my students build their knowledge of food from different cultures. By adding in food group sorters, my students will be able to get a variety of learning in through play.
