Help me give my students the induction burner and griddle they need to prepare wholesome and creative snacks for their classmates during our practical arts cooking classes.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Students at our school come from many backgrounds and bring such a richness to our school community! Because we focus on teaching the whole child through an enriching curriculum developed to follow a child's natural development, our children truly grow to love learning for its own sake.
Our students learn to solve problems with compassion, serve one another and their community, and develop a sense of independence, while retaining a sense of responsibility to the whole group.
Their understanding of core curriculum stems from their experience with stories told by their teachers and discussed as a class. Children develop at their own pace, nurtured by their classroom family, from grades 1-8. Carefully crafted lessons and engaging activities motivate the children to meet their learning with great enthusiasm!
Our 3rd graders participate in a practical arts curriculum that includes classes in food preparation. One a weekly basis throughout the school year, they cook snacks that focus on using ancient grains and produce from our school garden under the supervision of dedicated parent volunteers. It is a time for them to work as a team, practice reading and mathematics, and to learn about food history and other cultures.
The induction burner and electric griddle will better equip our children to prepare delicious and healthy meals for each other.
They will be able to cook the food safely and efficiently. Providing them access to these tools will help them develop competency and confidence in caring for themselves and each other.
