I teach Kindergarten at Crestview Elementary in Greer, South Carolina. I have a very unique classroom environment. Two classes share an open learning environment. My Kindergarten class consists of 24 students and the other class has 25 students. Imagine 49 students using the same resources daily! In our classroom we want to provide our students with many opportunities for hands on learning. We offer centers for students to explore independently on a daily basis. Your help is needed to rebuild our home living center. This is the most popular center in our class. This center appeals to all levels of learners, both boys and girls. We are in need of hardwood furniture that can withstand the test of time. Our current microwave has no door and the refrigerator has no handles. Lakeshore Learning offers the Pretend and Play Hardwood Kitchen complete set consisting of a refrigerator, stove, sink, and washing machine. These colorful pieces are just the thing to brighten up our center and withstand the use of 49 students weekly. Our current and future students would benefit from this furniture as they explore, create, discover, and collaborate with others through dramatic play. My students and I thank you for considering this request.
