My students need supplies like microwaves, mixing bowls, spoons, and cups to learn to make meals to support their own families, develop career skills while also serving as student-teachers for a program called "Warrior Wee Chef."

My Students

Living in rural farm land Ohio, many of my students come from low-income to no income families where they look to the school for full support.

My students rely on the skills being learned in Family & Consumer Sciences to strengthen their own families by building a support system to climb out of poverty.

My students take learned "soft" employable skills into the workforce to support their families. Many students further their education by earning vocational skills to take on the job.

My Project

The students will use the equipment to support their own learning of cooking skills in the classroom. Presently, the students DO NOT have any of the equipment for the school year 2017-18.

The addition of the equipment will facilitate their learning by providing the needed equipment to learn how to cook.

Through the use of the equipment, the students will also be able to build a knowledge of cooking skills, apply these skills to their home life and many possible work related jobs.

The supplies that you support can be used for multiple years to come and sustain the Family & Consumer Sciences program through benefiting over 500 students. This project is in support of public education.
