This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are as diverse as they come. My school is in the inner city and we are a Title 1 school because over 80% of our students qualify as Title 1. We have every race, every religion, sexual orientation, etc...

My students are wonderful people!

They have huge hearts, give when they can, and are always open to learning something new. They inspire me everyday and give me hope for the future! Thank you so much for considering to help us and our classroom!

My Project

These convertable desks are a chair with an arm that can be used or put away if it's not needed. This will allow my students to have more space in my classroom and help them feel more connected to each other because we can set up the chairs in any way we need to. Bulky desks don't let us do that. If needed, they can bring up the arm and use it for a desk. There are many times a "desk" isn't needed and having a comfortable chair would make my classroom and my students feel more like at home and help us all transform our furniture into whatever position is needed for learning.
