Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As an elementary educator who serves students from various background. Many of my students are faced with several challenges. Many of my students face physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development challenges. As a result of these factors, many children often reach adulthood without having any essential influences and practices that allow them to be successful. Even with these challenges my students always seem to smile and greet each day like a new adventure.

I can not control the circumstances that the may face in their home, however, I can make sure they are met with a creative, safe, and nurturing learning environment that will positively affect their academic future.

I will love to integrate my classroom with flexible seating and interactive learning centers that will give the students hands on experience while learning different concepts and objectives from our core curriculum.

My Project

By donating to our class project you will help provide us with a flexible and comfortable, student centered classroom environment. Flexible seating encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive. “There is no better way to show your support for a student-centered classroom, than creating a classroom from a child's point of view.” Studies have shown that when students have a sense of ownership in their classroom it makes them feel as if they belong. The students guards go down and they become pleasant and engaged students. Help me adapt with the time and provide our class with alternative seating arrangements.
