This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the proud teacher of 24 amazing fourth graders.

Hardworking and ready to jump any learning hurdle, my superstar kids have remained diligent and focused this entire year.

Many of my students don't have it so easy. From the get go they've come from disadvantage and haven't had the privilege to experience life as others do. But, regardless, their attendance is high, they care about their achievement, and have big dreams for their futures.

They are social, love to hang out with each other, and all the while put a smile on my face.

My Project

My goal is to always prepare my students for their futures and coding is one of the best experiences I can provide for them.

Coding will teach them to communicate, not only with each other, but with a computer.

The coding experience will require them to carefully and systematically work through complicated patterns of thinking.

They'll be required to problem solve and think like inventors in order to move the Dash Robot I am requesting, to any desired point. Their computer programming literacy will strengthen. They will gain confidence as 21st century citizens living and thriving in this digital era they so enjoy.
