My students need technology devices to use in small groups during limited in person instruction, during the 2020 school year! I am committed to providing them with as many learning opportunities and as much learning time as possible! They attend a school-wide Title I school, with nearly 100% free/reduced lunch and breakfast. Our school continues to provide breakfasts & lunch during the pandemic, as well as the best distance learning that we can! I love this school, staff, students, families, and community!
Last year our little school exceeded 600 students and we are still growing!
My students come from low-income households, foster care and many are dealing with unfortunate circumstances and must work extra hard to overcome learning and/or behavioral difficulties. Our area was also recently hit with wildfires and many families have either lost homes or have family that have lost homes (so they are helping them).
Our county is currently in "lock-down" due to the pandemic and many families are struggling financially due to lost jobs. Yet, the kids persevere....they are amazing, kind, thoughtful and supportive of each other (even if just from a screen). They are a wonderful bunch of kids!
My Project
Students will move between home and school, from distance learning to limited in person instruction in the classroom. These iPads will help us to continue what we have been working on through distance learning when we come to school!
IPads would enable students to continue working on their Seesaw activities, and other student learning apps, while keeping our distance and having fun learning!
The iPads and Apple pencils would enable students to continue working on projects they started at home.....and be able to finish them up in the classroom, each time we transition!
