My Students
As a teacher in a high poverty, urban district coupled with a high ELL (English Language Learners) population, it is challenging to provide rich learning experiences for our curious fifth graders. I am often searching for resources to engage, enrich, and promote problem-solving in my classroom.
My students deserve the same opportunities as their peers in suburban school districts. I see their minds wonder, create, and make connections as we explore countless topics throughout the fifth-grade curriculum. I would like to continue to create the most comfortable and inviting classroom space for optimal learning!
My Project
The materials that I have selected for this project are construction paper and markers. The students will be able to use these materials to add color to presentations, group work, and projects.
There are so many ways to show what you know and I want my kids work to show some PIZZAZZ!!! I want faculty, staff, and students to stop in the hallway and not only admire their work but actually read it.
I want my students work to stand out in the hallway with color construction paper as borders, show their thinking with paper and markers in math, and present projects with confidence and creativity.
