My Students
My students are very diverse. I am in a special education teacher in an inclusion classroom setting with 12 students. There are some 2nd and 3rd grade students. Most of them are either Spanish or African American. Our school is a wonderful place to work at and the students enjoy being here! This is a high urban poverty location inside of the projects and is in need of any help given to the students. Our classroom community is diverse in many different aspects, while having a variety of needs.
My Project
Almost every item in our classroom must be laminated in order to be durable enough to make it through the day/week/year. Our school lamination is a limited resource and tends to be very flimsy. This laminator would help protect items from moisture, bending, tearing, etc. and save time and money.
It is vital for the visual card schedules and work tasks to be sturdy and protected as they are used almost every second of the day.
Many students use picture communication schedules from the moment they step off the bus all the way through their bedtime routine. Donating to our class project will impact dozens of lives in and beyond the classroom. This laminating machine will keep their treasures safe and beautiful. Please help me conserve my student's hard work! Thank you so much for taking the time out to donate to the students in my school community. We will really appreciate your donation. Thank you so much for considering our project.
