Help me give my students the trip to Connor Prairie to experience history.
This project expired on March 25, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I have twenty-six students in my second grade class and each one of them holds a special place in my heart. Our school is an impoverished area and going on trips would help to give them prior knowledge in different subject areas for future grades they will be in. Several of my students are hands-on learners. Connor Prairie offers so many experiences that I believe our children will benefit from.
I love that they are each different.
They bring several different backgrounds and prior knowledge to the table. They are also good at different things. Some like to work with their hands and some are good at writing and working at tables on projects.
They will see different aspects of history and how they helped to shape today. They will see different events in history and how people lived. I love this field trip and believe that the children will be able to benefit greatly from it.
They will see how Indians lived, how life was back when Indiana was founded.
They will learned about the Civil War and about how school was back then. There will be different things to experience, such as old timey toys, an outlook, and animal encounters. They will see how people dressed and acted. It will be an experience that is hard to forget!
