My students need a presenter tablet to maximize student learning while reducing our paper usage.
This project expired on June 19, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are up for the Disney Planet Challenge by using less paper and pencils to connect wirelessly.
I teach an energetic group of 3rd grade students at a Title I school with more than half our students receiving free or reduced price lunch.
I work in a wonderful community close to several military bases. Many of my students' parents serve in the military, and their experiences are often brought into the classroom. Our school is in its first year of being an A+ school, which combines interdisciplinary teaching with the integration of the arts to meet the needs of all learning styles. Our school transformed the way we thought of teaching to meet the needs of all students.
The presentation tablet will be used with our wireless hand held clickers. The tablet will be used to make our classroom presentations interactive. Students can draw directly on the tablet which will be projected on our SmartBoard. Students can respond to questions using their remotes. The assessment software automatically summarizes the results in a pie chart or bar graph. I can gauge student understanding on the spot and adjust my teaching accordingly to be assured that every student in the classroom is following the lesson.
My classroom instruction will become more meaningful because I will be able to assess my students more often throughout the day.
With your donation, my classroom instruction will become stronger and my students will learn more while reducing their carbon footprint one less paper at a time!
