My Students
I teach at a school with a diverse population. The majority of our students are from low socioeconomic households. All of my students are eager to learn and I would like to be able to provide them with a variety of resources to enhance their educational experience. My students have come from all around the world, from many different and often difficult situations. We have a focus on entrepreneurship at our school. I know that providing them with today’s technology will give them an opportunity to explore different ways to turn their ideas into reality.
My Project
We will use this iPad to reinforce math skills during our intervention class. The intervention class consists of students who are struggling with various foundational math skills. I could download apps for various math practice skills for a math corner, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students. This would afford me with the opportunity to work with one group of students on certain skills while others that have achieved mastery in that area work on the iPad for enrichment. Finally, I will use this iPad to assess and track my students’ progress.
