My students need 10 surge protectors to help keep their tablets charged during the school day. Our students were fortunate to receive tablets to enhance their learning.

Our students were fortunate to receive tablets to enhance their learning. However, their tablets do not stay charged all day and they need charging stations in their classrooms.
I teach an energized group of eighth graders in a public city school system.
Many of our students receive free or reduced lunch and unfortunately our PTA is not very large and any extra materials we need for our classroom, we have to purchase out of our own pockets.
This year our students were fortunate enough to receive tablets to help personalize their learning needs. Our school is becoming more of a paperless environment and we are increasing students' learning and excitement of learning by developing their 21st century skills. Students are able to enhance their research skills, discover new apps that assist with their learning and have activities that are tailored to their learning styles. Unfortunately, our classrooms are not designed to actively charge 30 plus students tablets. Therefore, our classroom needs surge protectors so that students are able to keep their tablets charged and be able to use their tablets throughout the day.
These items will help keep the vision alive of allowing our students to be a part of an interactive learning environment and help sharpen their 21st century learner skills to be more competitive in a global society.
