My Students

My students consist of 3 fourth grade classes who rotate to me for adventures in mathematical learning, and one class who is diving deep into reading to discover the complexities of characters.

My energetic fourth graders can't wait to share their reading discoveries and math explorations.

These enthusiastic learners love to engage in complex mathematical conversations in order to solve new problems. They are also learning to engage in respectful debates about character character traits while supporting their ideas with textual evidence.

My Project

I am working to build a set of Chromebooks for my students. Chromebooks are used regularly in fourth grade for writing and research. Now, with a new math program, we have the opportunity to bridge our technology use into the math classroom as well.

My vision is to allow the use of interactive digital manipulatives in the math classroom to help students build a strong conceptual understanding of mathematical ideas.

This, along with the concrete models we are already using, will help my students become flexible mathematical thinkers.

With this vision, we need a way for students to have convenient access to the technology as well as a way to responsibly care for our technology. This charging stand is perfect for this purpose.
