Help me give my students direct learning experiences through video and online networking as I utilize this MacBook Air to the fullest using iMovie for creating story read alouds that I can share and send to students.
My students need consistent reliable communication with their teacher. Students are in need of stability in their educational routine to continue to maintain focus and stay connected emotionally while learning at home. I plan to fully utilize Google Classroom and the Google Suites to keep my class virtually together for the remainder of this year. These tools will also provide instruction for school years to come, within the school building, and while teaching at home.
I need a MacBook Air laptop to maintain clear and open communication with my students while distance learning is in effect and to keep prepared and organized for continuing education for whatever the future holds.
The essential tools appropriate for my needs are the instant, user- friendly access to video conferencing with my class of students each school day, simple access to split screen tutorials using whiteboard software for viewing clear graphics, and easy access to WiFi and internet while teaching from home.
My Project
Teachers save resources! The 512GM of storage is for necessary documents and plans to download from all my flash drives. The processor and gigahertz provided suits our class needs for proper and essential communication during this crisis for the remainder of this year. The multi-port adapter allows me simple access to my external technology tools, such as external storage of zipped files, connections to other devices for file sharing, and for showcasing on projectors or document cameras for whole class viewing. I enjoy to multitask in the classroom and also at home.
Another additional bonus of being able to fully utilize a MacBook Air notebook is being able to use iMovie for creating stories to be read aloud to upload to my school YouTube and Facebook page.
My school has organized several social media hubs to network with families and keep school spirit alive. Being able to upload lesson plans, videos, do-it-yourself science experiments with recipes and sharing screenshots of favorite apps such as Night Sky and the phases of the moon are some of the highlights of having full range and function of this requested item.
