This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been tasked with starting thechoral program in our district. Even though we have strong band, orchestra, Mariachi, dance, Folklorico, classical guitar, etc., our district has not had a choir program for many years. Since I am starting up the program from scratch, there are many things that need to be supplied that are essential for our classroom. We are a Title 1 school and district and funds are especially tight.

A basic tool, a music stand, for both the classroom and for outside performances is needed so that I, the conductor, can use to direct my students.

I am needing a sturdy stand for the classroom and a portable, fold up stand that I can take to performances at other schools, business, and in public.

There are music stands at our school, but they are all in bad shape and lean or have loose bolts that cannot be tightened or are bent. By funding this project, I will be able to have at least two dependable music stands with which to use.
