My 4- and 5-year-olds make meaningful learning choices throughout the day. They learn through making connections about the world around them. This might be through art, reading, science, and math.
My children are four- and five-year-old Vietnamese English language learners.
I work in an inner city school where most of my children receive free or reduced-price lunch. My children are curious about the world around them. They love to explore and ask questions.
I have requested two computers for my classroom. These computers will allow my children access to technology in order to enhance their mathematical and reading comprehension skills. Many of my children do not own technology in their own homes, so these computers will allow them to develop their understanding of how computers work. Budgetary considerations have eliminated computer class from our school, placing added importance on getting exposure to technology in our classroom.
Computers are a big part of our world today.
These computers will enable my children to experience the world around them. The games will further broaden their math, science, English, and reading skills.
