My students need Chromebooks and headphones for the classroom. We use Chromebooks for small group instruction and our center time. The students use various sites to play games that reinforce letter recognition, sounds, words, and numbers.

My Students

My kindergarten classroom is a warm and welcoming space. It is a place that will pique interest and learning while students feel safe to share and have fun. This year, I have a kindergarten class filled with students of different backgrounds and learning styles. The students range from ages 5-6. They are experiencing elementary school for the first time, and I want to engage them as much as possible. I hope to provide these students with a fun and engaging environment.

My Project

We need computers for small groups and center time. Each student is given the opportunity to work on the computer several times during the week.

The activities that the students play on the Chromebook computers reinforce letter recognition, phonics, word building, sight words, rhyming, and sentence building.

We also work on counting and cardinality, modeling and problem solving in math games. We offer computer enrichment at our school once a week, but allowing students to work in the classroom will reinforce the skills they have learned in class.

The headphones will be perfect to keep our activities quiet while others are working and listening to instructions.
