Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I teach first grade at a charter school in a very low income district in New York. My students work hard and need every advantage we can give them!

Computers are a crucial part of everyday life for college students and workers in many fields. I would like to see my first graders become comfortable using computers in their daily learning.

With three laptop computers to rotate, all students will have access to the Internet and educational software regularly. This will enrich their learning through Literacy and Math programs and to build research skills in Science and Social Studies.

These computers will give a meaningful advantage to some very underprivileged First Graders. Please help to bring the dream of technology to our classroom!
