This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are all from the city of Buffalo. They come from low income families. They come to school and try and give me 100%. I strive to create the best learning environment I can as a teacher. My class is filled with elaborate thinkers. They truly enjoy coming to school and being given opportunities to work with their peers in a educational environment. Whatever I can do for my students I will try and do. They are why I chose this career!

My Project

Our school like many others has become a computer based school. We use iPads and Chromebooks very often. Students use technology in various settings whole group, small group and independently. Technology is also used in different subject areas; Math, Social Studies, Science, Art, etc. When I use my computer and try to project what is on many students struggle hearing videos, passages, etc. These speakers would help me project the volume to all students in my classroom. I use different sites that have videos and clips that correlate with different units in all subject areas. Students are more engaged and more likely to understand the concept.
