My Students

These students may not have a lot, but they definitely have huge HEARTS. One of the main reasons I became a teacher is because of the students I worked with many years ago while volunteering at this very same school I currently work at. I work at a Title I school on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Our school populates students of varying cultures. Many of my students come form low-income families and often qualify for free or reduced cost lunch. Though many come from ill-advantaged home lives, they come to school, ready, and eager to learn. They are often my motivation to adventure each day with them.

My Project

We cannot deny that we live in a world filled with and have become reliant on technology. Computer Science is an ever-growing field, and is now making its way into our classrooms, so please help by donating to this project. Computer Science is an ever-growing field, so help my students achieve success by providing them with hands-on experiences using these Microbit and Circuit Playground Kits.

Through lessons, students will become even more academically well-rounded and their learning experiences will be enriched.

Kits will be used to enhance lessons by giving them hands-on opportunities to bridge learning from classroom discussions and online lessons to make real world Computer Science applications. Providing students with an awareness of and giving them meaningful opportunities of Computer Science lessons with the use of these kits will benefit them now and in their futures.
