My Students

I teach first grade at a large urban school district. Our school is a high-needs status school with over ninety percent of our students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunches.

Most of my students are English Language Learners from low-income homes.

My students are wonderful. My students are excited about learning and love school. I want my students to learn to their fullest potential. I want them to stay excited and committed to learning. Having a class computer will help them to stay excited about learning.

My Project

I would like to have an HP Pavillon All-in-One classroom computer for my first grade students to use daily. Much of our curriculum is available online. Students could work on math, reading skills and enrichment activities on this All-In-One HP Computer. Many of the test that my students take are taken using the computers. Students need practice signing in and out on the computer and learning basic computer skills. Students will also be able to go to learning sites and work on specific skills that they need help with or enrichment in.

This HP desktop computer in our class will help students in their learning.

It will be used during learning station time and will provide opportunities for students to work on specific skills that they need to learn.
